CHUCK DOUGLAS
ENTERTAINMENT ATTORNEY, WAKHISI | DOUGLAS, LLC
Atty. Chuck M. Douglas received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Georgia Tech in 1998.  He later earned a Master's in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, and a Juris Doctorate from the Georgia State University College of Law, where he achieved high honors in his business, intellectual property and entertainment law courses. During his undergraduate years, Chuck became heavily active in the Atlanta music scene, recording and writing songs with music producers such as Dallas Austin and Craig Love; and artists such as 112, Jagged Edge, and Trey Lorenz.  Upon graduating business school and law school, it was natural for Chuck to pursue practicing law, specializing in entertainment.  Attorney Douglas’ firm, Wakhisi-Douglas, LLC, is a cutting edge business and entertainment law practice. Currently, the firm represents professionals in the music, motion picture, television, new media and live performance industries.  Wakhisi-Douglas counsels and supports its business and entertainment clients by drafting and negotiating agreements, assisting with music licensing, brokering deals, raising capital, pitching projects, protecting assets, and resolving disputes.  The firm’s current entertainment clients include some of Georgia’s hottest and most successful music, film and television professionals, such as R&B recording artists (112 – Cupid, Only You, Dangerous Games); hip-hop recording artists (Nebu Kiniza – Gassed Up, Lit, Wake Up (feat. Lil Yachty); music producers (Anthony Clint – Tamar Braxton, Dondria, Case); screenwriters (Brian Egeston – The Quad, Mann & Wife, The Rickey Smiley Show); film producers (Autumn Bailey – The Blue Mauritius, Breaking Point, Alibi, Curveball); and casting agencies (Winsome Sinclair & Associates – All Eyez on Me, Bessie, Belly, Sparkle, Precious, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Inside Man), among others. Chuck is a clever and creative lawyer, with exceptional technical skills and a knack for problem solving.  He is also a volunteer with GA Lawyers for the Arts, Hands On Atlanta, and Habitat for Humanity; and he is the Vice-Chairman of the board of directors for the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia. www.wdentertainlaw.com
